Chestnut Gelding by Don Tiberio de la Alhambra out of Micaela de las Guacas
Merlin is gentle, calm, handsome and sound. Since the day he arrived in the UK from Florida in January 08 he has been a wonderful ambassador for the Paso Fino breed. He has stoically put up with a returning novice rider and has never given me a moments concern, whether hacking out alone, in company or schooling in the paddock. Born in 2001, Merlin was trained by the great David Castro. He is fino, but when out hacking we mainly corto, largo and canter with quite small steps! He recently gained a 3rd in the Open Pleasure class at the UK Paso Fino Show. Merlin is great with all animals including children and can be ridden by anyone. Unconcerned with the farrier, vet or dentist. He does need persuading to go onto a trailer with a feed bucket. He is currently kept out with a mare and colt but is equally happy being stabled, he is a well balanced horse who seems to make friends with other horses without aggression.
Due to no fault of his own Merlin is reluctantly for sale and I am therefore looking for a very special home for him.
